Happy Halloween!

I am just soaking up how much fun it is to have young kids.  It was a blast to watch Anara go trick-or-treating for the first time!  I will never forget how she went to her first door, rang the door bell, opened her bag as wide as she could and had the biggest grin on her face!  It was so cute!

Anara wanted to be Shamu for Halloween.  When she told me that I was so worried.  How in the world was I going to pull that off?  It turned out pretty decent.  It was very fun and definitely a hit with everyone that saw it.

Lynnea was cookie monster.  I had seen a similar costume on pinterest and thought it was too cute.  I had to do it!  She has never had a cookie in her life but I am sure if she had, she would love them!

Lynnea's Idea of Fun!

This is what happens when you have two kids!  I was helping Anara with something and turned my back on Lynnea for a few minutes.  She utilized those few minutes!

Ice Skating!

Anara's cousin Grace just celebrated her 5th birthday with an ice skating party.  Anara had a lot of fun but wasn't too sure about the skating part.  In theory she liked it a lot, she just didn't like falling.  :)  By the end she had improved a lot though!

Pumpkin Patch!

I love this time of year!  All of the fun holidays and the weather starts to cool off.  Well, cool off at least a little!  We are currently staying at the lake house for a little r&r and we decided to take the girls to a pumpkin patch.  Believe it or not we had a hard time finding one and then the one we went to, barely had any pumpkins....  It did have a lot of fun activities for Anara to do so we had a great time!

Snowball Fight!!!

You read correctly, we might live in San Antonio where there is no chance for snow but that didn't stop this family!  I had cut out little red circles to use to make mom's Christmas gift (hehe, not telling you what they are going to make mom!) and Anara had the idea that they were snowballs and we needed to have a snowball fight.  We started doing it and Lynnea thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen.  (Smart baby, she thinks it is hilarious that we think red fabric circles are snowballs!)  I had to get out the video camera to record this random family moment!

Lynnea is 10 Months!

Here is my 10 month old cutie!  No new milestones this month, she has just been perfecting the ones that she has already done.  For example, crawling.  She has the weirdest crawl.  It works... she has gotten really fast at it...she just looks funny doing it!  I included a video at the bottom so you can watch her unique crawl.

She still isn't interested in talking.  Not sure that is by her choice or if it is because her sister never leaves any silence for Lynnea to try and fill.  :)  She has become very mommy dependent.  Wants to be with me and that's it.  She is starting to like eating more now that we are starting to give her normal food.  We have also had a tiny bit of success with a sippy cup.  Still not great but baby steps!  Speaking of baby steps, she has no interest in walking.  She likes to stand but doesn't want to take steps yet.

She still loves her sister more than anything.  We will think Anara is being too rough with Lynnea but Lynnea is always happiest the rougher Anara is.  It is cute watching them play together.  Anara plays with the toys and Lynnea puts them in her mouth!
