I LOVE summer!!!

I love the summertime because there is so much you can do!  Today we went to a splash park with Addy and the girls had a great time!  Lynnea even loved being outside.  And of course I had my camera ready to go.  (Sorry for the blurry pictures.  They have changed how you upload pictures to the blog and obviously my settings are off somewhere and so they are a little blurry!)

Lynnea is 6 Months Old!

Lynnea is 6 months old!  This really is the best baby age.  So happy and interested in everything around her yet not old enough that she is moving and getting into everything!  I can still leave her in one spot and when I come back she will still be there.  Enjoying that while it lasts!

She is such a big girl now!  She can sit up all by herself and loves it.  She is very proud of herself.  She is still a very happy baby and smiles and laughs all the time.  She has also learned how much fun bath time can be!  I have to cover myself with a towel to keep from getting soaked because she just LOVES to splash the water everywhere!  We have started her on some solids but she hasn't been very interested.  The rice cereal she will tolerate but doesn't love.  I tried to give her peas and you would have thought I was torturing her!  Her face was priceless.  As soon as the peas would hit her lips she would shudder like it was the worst thing in the entire world.  Hilarious!

She also now has two bottom teeth.  I couldn't believe the amount of drool when she was cutting them.  Wow!  And she loves teething rings which Anara never cared for.  She is also at the stage where EVERYTHING goes in her mouth!  I have to be very careful because Anara likes sharing with Lynnea and of course she doesn't always understand what things will be bad for her.

Hats off to ya!

Anara grabbed this hat that we used for one of her Halloween costumes and put it on Lynnea today.  I thought it was cute, so I of course had to grab the camera!  

Dance Recital (rehearsal)

Anara's 1st Dance Recital!

  Today was Anara's first dance recital!  She loved it!  It probably wasn't the best debut but she still did a great job!  Super cute!  At one point they did step kicks forward and then were supposed to walk back.  Well, Anara and two other girls were really getting into the step kicks and just kept going.  I was worried they would keep going off the front of the stage!  The funny thing was one of the other girls came so far forward that she spotted her mother in the audience and started waving and walking over to her.  The crowd got a kick out of that!  You just never know what to expect from 3 year olds!

 

 

Lynnea did fabulous!  Ben held her throughout the 50 minute show plus the 15 minutes before the show started and she did great!  The only time that she made any noise was right when Anara's class was coming on stage.  We joked that she was cheering her sister on! 

 Lynnea got all dolled up to go to her sister's performance so of course we had to take pictures of the two of them together!
